Yes, you definitely need insurance, what if you hit another road user? Who would have to pay?

The price depends on the size of the bike is the amount of experience you have.
I think I have little experience, because the insurance company should know otherwise, you should mention that you have to do your CBT training!

When it applies to any other road vehicle - about 600 pounds per year

You also need a certificate of compulsory basic training before leaving the road and a provisional license. The bike needs an MOT, if more than 3 years road tax and shall have L-plates, helmets, gloves and protective clothing.

The website explains more about the TCC and the licenses

The Smart have insurance, but not always necessary. The state of Washington, for example, does not require motorcyclists have insurance, but if you, the WA / Oregon border to the Oregon police can cross over and pull ticket for not having.
I would be in an accident, but if you could not afford it, I check and see if your condition requires.

Depends on what kind of bike you think. If there is a 125 used to also be safe, but if you plan to contract and motorcycles are much more real. A 600cc would be at least 850 pounds
